Was Eeeew - unspun yarn
Hi all, moving this thread down here My clogs had to be in the washer at maximum agitation for 35 minutes. Also, since they are made of roving and not yarn, they had to be put in a lingeree bag, and even so, still needed some odd looking tangles clipped off by the time they were small enough! I take them out and check them every 5 min or so. If they shrink too mujch, you can still stretch them out before you dry them that way. Mine are perfect, and so are my niece's. Some of my gift recipients may not be, though because I don't know what size they need! Just guessing. But most love them, So warm on winter evenings. Sara |

One way to prevent the tangles, in case there's a next time, is to dampen the project with soapy water and rub it against a washboard to start the surface bonding before you run it through the washer. That seems to give a better finish to the things I've made -- when I remember to do it. Don't have a washboard? Try laying a piece of bubble wrap on top of the washer and rubbing against that.
