Default Painting on Glass Cabs

Vibrant Jewels Online Bead & Jewelry Store
http://www.vibrantjewels.com/jewelry/welcome.htm
I bought some white glass cabs a while back with the thought that I could
decorate them somehow to use in jewelry or kits. But I don't know what to
paint them with that would be permanent. Hubby said they used to paint jelly
glasses with enamel paints and them cook them to make the paints permanent.
Anybody ever tried to do this? Or have any other suggestions?
TIA

Karleen, there are paints especially for glass at places like Michael's, or
Dick Blick -- or any craft supply store. Check them out -- Michael's has an
entire (small) aisle of the stuff. DH is right, too -- enamel paints would
work.

Good luck! It sounds like fun.

There are specialty paints specifically made for glass. You can put them in
the kiln and fire them up to temp. That makes the paintings permanent. I'm
not sure model paints would work.

Yes -- those are enamels. But glass paints would probably be prettier and wear
better.

are fairly transparent, and you can just brush it on... it's called
Permenamel.
