Thanks for the quick response. Yes I am finally doing a cross-stitch
for myself. I've always wanted a Thomas Kinkade cross-stitch so have
finally found one have decided to do it. I just started it this
evening and really want to enter it in competition this fall.

Do you have a picture we can see?

Ok...I mostly lurk but I think this time I'll join in A little
encouragement is a good thing

I'm doing the Einstein Jacket from Sally Melville's "The Knit Stitch",
and I am doing it in Sketch...a cotton/varoius acrylic blend from
Adrafil...and its working up quite nicely too I like the way the
fabric is turning out. We'll see what the finished product looks like

EJ

I just started the Einstein coat also -- I'm using Cascade Eco wool,
although now I'm wishing I had used something with a little more color,
because it occurred to me that everything I'm doing lately is in ecru or
oatmeal or basic off white colors.

Well...I got the yarn on sale...a boatload of it..and its still a lot
more than I usually pay...but when I saw it I could just picture the
Einstein made up from this yarn. I dont know how well it will work out
but if it doesnt I can always frogit G

Well I had every intention to join in this. But, right now I'm just
overwhelmed with everything going on in my life. I can manage the 6x6
exchange, but I just don't know about anything else. (BTW, Judy I emailed
that I have yours done, just have to find time to mail them.) If I do
anything I'll let you know.

Is that the brown and black one? That looks so fun to make (and wear)!

I think I'll join this project list, too...
I ordered the Fun Fur for a
cute vest in the recent Knitter's mag.
Hoping I can actually finish it by
next fall!

tickled my foot & I looked down & it was a big ole June bug! Yuck!)

OH my, Kim! Quite a project!
Katherine

Fortunately, it's done on large needles - 11, 13, and 15 - so it should
go fairly quickly once I get it going. It's just that as I'm 5'9" tall,
the coat will be close to 5' long when finished g

Ranee! I have been a bit "far away in my thoughts" the last weeks...
It must be the dark!
Like many of you, I am not a very cherful person when it's dark 2 o'clock in
the afternoon!
But now I understood what this Project was ment to be!!
Because it is EXACTLY what I haved planned !!
I will go to my LYS after work tomorrow,
just to see if there is a yarn I REALLY would like use for MYSELF!
Just to SPOIL myself, "...because I derseeeeeerve it......"

I reallized how long it was sice I had done anything for myself!
And here you see!!! I am in!
I will tell you later what I will do, when the "dream yarn" is found!
