1way stretch fabric for 2way stretch pattern?
Here is my problem of the day. I have a one-way stretch lycra
material that I need to use for a two-way stretch bodysuit pattern. The fabric does have a "slight" stretch in the second direction....but not the 75% that the pattern calls for. Am I better off.... #1 - Using the stretch for the width and adjusting the pattern to accommodate the length that isn't provided for. #2 - Cutting the fabric on the bias so I get some stretch in both directions. Anybody with experience on this type adjustment...I would love to hear suggestions. Joy |
