Default What to do with finished projects

I was just wondering, what everyone does with finished xstitch projects,
other than the usual: picture, ornament, pillow etc., I haven't been
doing this for too long, and I figure in 30 years, I won't have much
wall space left, so I was hoping for a few ideas about what to do with
various finished projects...both large and small..

thanks!

Clothing, tote bags, quilts, jewelry...
If you have some storage space, you can always seasonally rotate what
you display.

Not done yet, but planned: Wanted to make a cross stitch piece (six
times over!) for my girlfriends group and thought that rather than using
everyone's wall space, I'd mount it on a box lid. I got a book from
Nordic Needle about "how to make your own fabric boxes".

(Obviously, this is a pretty *special* group of friends!)

That it is!

There other thing you could do it mount it on a chip board or one of the
nicer ones you can get at some craft stores.

My favorite uses are tote bags, guest towels, tea cozies, egg cozies,
tissue box and TP roll covers. I often combine a design with fabric
pieces to make an item. For example, for a tissue box cover I make an
oblong design and then sew it onto or into the fabric that actually
covers the box. Hope that is clear?

Book covers - very simple to make for your journal, addresses, whatever.
Think of desk sets, too. Use cheap purchased ones and cover them.

Well, I've still got alot of wall space left after over a decade of stitching
and framing. However, I do have alot of pieces in rotation such as Christmas
and Spring pieces. I also use my mother's walls for hanging. In my job, I
have a large coverage area. My employer has given me two offices.........okay
that is 8 more walls. Plus another lady I work with also stitches. She has
covered her office and the hallway with her pieces. I told her that she has to
stay on her side of the building, that my hallway is mine and she will have to
"hang" elsewhere. LOL

Stash 'em in a drawer as I am sick and tired of them when finally
done. Take them back back out 2 years later and decide they're not
as horrible as I thought they were when stored. Frame and place in
wall rotation.
