Thanks, Lorraine. I'm pretty lucky, too -- he's a good guy, even if
he doesn't like to stop at quilt shops.

And I can't wait for DH to get home so I can give him his new quilt!
It's finished in the washer and dryer, and I even managed to get pics
taken -- though it was a challenge finding a place in my itty bitty
house to hang it! but I've posted the pics at
http://home.earthlink.net/~sfoster1/mike.html; it's the second quilt
down. Woohoo!!! I'm so excited about this one -- more than usual, for
some reason. VBG

Sandy - Great job! Beautiful quilt and quilting! I am just venturing into
feathers and hate to mark ahead of time. How much into Kathy's book did you
get before tackling the feathers? I have her book and have used several
techniques but not for feathers. Should I be looking for a class from her?

Thanks, Laurie! I didn't tackle the feathers until I'd taken the class,
but there's really no reason why you shouldn't try anyway! I'd done a
couple of her motifs before taking the class, and they worked just fine
-- I'd think the feathers would, too. Best of luck!

I know this comment is late, but I'm really behind in reading my
messages due to surgery a week ago. But I just have to say this quilt
is lovely. Thanks so much for showing the close-ups of the quilting.
You did an excellent job. Congratulations and I'm sure you're husband
is just thrilled with it.
