Sticky Recommendations
I have a pair of nekkid hairsticks that I got from FMG. I think they're
bone, but they could be wood. At any rate, they're some sort of porous material and not plastic. They have a hole drilled into the wide end to accept a bit of wire -- to put beads on, of course. :-) What sort of glue would you recommend for glueing a head pin (Head in) into the hole in the hairstick, and at least a single bead? I have EP6000, Hypocement, and the usual list of crafty glues on hand... I don't recommend a headpin. Get something that's stronger than a regular headpin. E6000 works great. (Headpins of the sort used to make earrings will definitely bend.) Well, I'm only going to put one round and one or two disc-shaped beads on the end of the stick itself, form a loop and hang danglies from it. Consequently, I'll need to use something that's bendable, and the head on a headpin gives more surface for the glue to adhere to. FMG (and others) sell another type of finding that's better suited for your
loop. It's called a screw-eye or up-eye. They're on page 467 of the big 2002-2003 catalog, items U-X. It just depends on how large the hole in your hairstick is. I've used them to bake right into polymer clay pendants. They're threaded so they'll give you a better grip with the cement. I'm partial to Hypotube, but E-6000 works great too. -- KarenK Desert Dreamer Designs http://members.cox.net/desertdreameraz/ Ebay Sto http://www.stores.ebay.com/desertdreamerdesigns JustBeads: http://www.justbeads.com/search/ql.cfm?s=DesertDreamer |

Use E6000, but be sure to use outside or use inside with plenty of ventilation.
