Default Happy New Year to all!

Hope you all miss the `flu (which wiped me out for Christmas week despite
having had the injection in October!) Hope that 2011 brings everyone all
they hope for and nothing that they don`t want!

I had a lovely parcel today from a friend from RCTN which included a couple
of lovely coasters illustrating her State. What a lovely idea - I must look
around for something similar from here. What fun it would be to swap them
with each other.

All the best to everyone.

Hope you have a good year too Pat.
Sorry to hear about the flu, it seems the swine flu is in our area.
In the local paper it tells of a young woman going unto labour on
Christmas Eve but she had also got swine flu and was feeling very ill.
The doctors managed to hold back the birth until she got over the flu.
The baby still early was born on New Years day. Lucky mother and baby.

A nice birthday card would work. A gift might be a bit too much unless he's a really good friend of yours.

Oh good - I thought that EVERYONE had gone down with the dreaded flu. It
doesn`t half take a while to get over it - I`m much better but not 100% -
and I`ll SMACK the next person who tells me I`d have had it worse without
the flu injection!!!

Thank goodness John didn`t get it - we`d have been in a real muddle if he
had. Our ex son-in-law did a bit of shopping for us, bless him, we only
needed bread and milk, really, as both our freezers are full.

We all hope that the world will be a better place, Mirjam, but somehow I
doubt it. The poor old world seems to be going to Hell in a handcart in so
many respects! The floods in Australia are unbelievable. An old
schoolfriend in Queensland is OK so far but is very worried about the dam
just upriver from her. If that goes she`ll be in a real fix, and the last
she said was that it was 25% over capacity - they`d already had to release
some of the contents.
