on behalf of an adult child I say a big thank you..so far, being
18 hasn't changed her )))
we went to a chinese restaurant last night, Kasia, rather than
wear any jewellery wore 2 or 3 age badges, one the size of a
dinner plate...in the past years I'd conspire with various
restaurant people and they would pounce out with cake, balloons,
sparklers and a song )) yesterday there was a piano player
(with a large beer at his side ) ) and suddenly we heard Happy
Birthday and a very nice choc cake was wheeled in...child was
happy ))

thankyouthankyou...the silver wedding seems to have made no
difference to us, adulthood for kasia means...throwing old stuff
out...maybe her rooms will be usable soon )))
also this september will be just about 1/2 of my life spent in
this country...and after all those years of missing Poland,
longing to go back, now, I feel my home is here...I susoect it's
got a lot to do with my Mum not being there any longer but I was
rather shocked to discover that...
