Need handbook or manual for Sears Kenmore model 158.17540

I wish that I could help you, but I only have the model 19001, and
148.11010. the first is only a couple years old, while the second one has
to be from around the 1960's. The second one is a straight stitch only with
reverse.
Have you checked with Sears Parts store to see if they can get the manual
for yours? That is what I did for my model 148.11010.

Did you ask Sears' service dept? They can tell you the corrct phone # if
they can't help you themselves. When a friend gave me "an oldie,but goodie"
Kenmore, Sears was very polite and sent it right away.
