Default Labels needed for a special project

http://www.tardart.com/

I read about this project in a recent issue of Quilters Newsletter. I sent
her all the labels I've cut from neckties (I knew there was a reason to save
them). Today I received a charming thank you note from the artist. She
still needs lots of labels "especially gray and black," and asked that the
word be spread....so I'm doing just that!

If you have the tie left over after you've mailed the letter, you can always
send it to me. I'm considering trying a Dresden Plate made with neckties
just to see if it's doable.

Should be fun.

Last week end I saw a Gaint Dahlia quilt with the center motif made
from ties. It was wonderful.

I spread the word through town that I like old ties. They get left on
my porch. One man very ceremoniously handed over his ties after he
retired. When I looked through them I decided that some were too good
to cut-up and have given them to men who still wear ties. I told them
that I wanted the ties back when they didn't wear them anymore.

I could not open the www.tardart.com site this morning. It may just be
a setting on my computer. I will check later. If anyone finds that
this is the wrong address please email me privately. I have lots of
tags to send and want to know the project.
