Default Looking for a cardigan pattern from the 1970's

Hi everyone,
I am new to this group. I have been thinking about a cardigan that my

mother made for me about 30 years ago. It was from a knitting magazine
I'm sure. It was knit from blue denim style yarn and had kind of puffed

sleeves, maybe a string tie as opposed to buttons and the original
pattern showed some red embroidered flowers on the front. For some
reason I have been thinking of this and wish I still had it. Anyway,
does it sound familiar to anyone? I've been checking Ebay for old
pattern books, hoping maybe I can find it there.
Thanks,
Judy

Not ringing any bells with me, Judy, but I'm sure that, of anyone knows
where it is, they will share.
Welcome to RCTY.

Hello Judy! If you can bear with me. I have HUNDREDS of Knitting,
Crochet and Craft magazines. I have them all sorted and boxed. I can go
through them to look to see if I have what you are looking for. It will
take me some time though : ) . Do you have any other details about it
that you can remember? Does it have a hood; is it a long cardigan
coattype? I will see what I can do!! Welcome to the group!! Anything
else you need to know just ask, everyone here is very friendly and
more than happy to help!!!! Fairwinner

Hello Aud! I am slow in responding sometimes, don't mind me! I hope
that you are recovering well after your surgery! At some point I will
have to have it too. My stupid Gall Bladder seems to like to act up and
then behave when you go to the doctor (kind of like a car)!! It has
been like this for 10 years now. Not fun. I was recovering from a minor
sugery myself here and was off line for 2 weeks when I finally saw you
posted that you were going in. I had my 4th cancer scare; but it came
out OK. I had a mole on my back that changed, so it didn't look good. I
went back to get the stitches out and the doctor had just got the test
results in. Happy Happy Happy !!! The funny thing about that was the
stitches were of monofiliment or fishing line. They are very hard to
see. So I got them out and went home. The doctor said to not get the
site wet for 24 hours. OK. Time came to get it wet and the washcloth
got stuck on something. There was still a stitch! I had to go back, and
he was all embarrassed. I was laughing, they are terrible to see!! I
left and got home to try to shower again, and there was another
stitch!! Unbelievable!! I am still laughing at it!! Too bad he couldn't
have used the dissolving ones!! I had asked him when he was going to
operate if he could take out my Gall Bladder and Appendix at the same
time, but the scar would be too big!! It would look like I had open
heart surgery or something! I tried killing 3 birds with one stone! I
am ok now, just still a little sore there. I am still trying to make
that tablecloth in thread crochet. I am stuck on it again. The pattern
directions are terrible. At this point it is small doily. If I can't
figure it out, It will still be a small doily!! LOL I have other
things I want to make more than this if it continues on like it has.
BTW I had planted some lilies 2 years ago and they have morphed. This
year the plants look just like pineapple trees! I have never seen such
a thing! I got out my plant books and catalogs and there is nothing
close to these! I wonder if it is going to be another Jack In the
Beanstalk or the plant from A Little Shop of Horrors! I will soon find
out!! Have a good day! I am thinking about you! Fairwinner

Hello Fairwinner!
Glad he found the last stitch! LOL!
Mine are BLACK "fishing line" so there will be NO problem as far as I
can see!
I'm going to work monday; Fit for fight after beautiful days!
I feel I am comlptely heeled, thanks to the beauty of the the spring!
Amazing how the mind and the body cooperate,
I'm sure, If this had been rainy days, I hadn't felt like this!
Wednesday the stitches are to be removed,
and THEN I think I have no excuse for not beeing "myself" again.

The galll bladder has been "nasty" for many years for me too,
so I really was glad to get it removed.
And there are so many people living well without it,
so I am sure I will be quite OK.
I normally don't use much fat in my diet,
so I think I will hardly remark the change.

Your lillies are like mine, I think!
Just outside the door, in the sun, I have some lillies, which I never
remember ARE lillies!
They pop up very early in the spring, and look like small, "round" or
thick pineapples.
But just wait, mine will be like these:
http://bloom.co.nz/shop/images/avignon.jpg
but I have others which look just the same way when they pop up!

Have a nice week end!
AUD :-)

Hi Aud & Fairwinner,

Oh, I have lots of lilies just like that in a variety of colors. They
are beautiful when they bloom all at once. This year as it's been so
cool they are just beginning to pop up so will be late blooming.

Hugs,

Nora
