Default What is Spam

Only Hormel knows for sure.

A while back there was a thread here about who has a web site. I thought
it was great to look at the few that were posted but I noticed that
people don't post their site as a sig file. Am I wrong to post a link to
my pics as a sig? I take it out when posting to ng's not pertaining to
glass.

I haven't considered this as spam as I'm not here to sell anything to
this group. I would snip the sig if it was a problem here. In fact I
would enjoy seeing others web sites providing that is not the purpose of
their post.

Thoughts?

Your sig line is cool with me. You aren't trying to promote
anything...hell, I wouldn't mind it if Mike Aurelius put his site in as a
sig line. He contributes to the group. What ticks me off is the bunch of
jackasses who turn out or import a bunch of crap and then wave it under our
noses as if we should be impressed.

Well Geez, what's it take to impress? Lil bead thingys that look like a
gazillion lil eyes, er lil hangy down jewery thingys, er lil tiny
pictures.....?
Nah, I like the anon thing, if somebody hits their Google button, they'll
find me, this site, for me is for the art and craft of glass, the money
making part is for the regular 'net, the usenet is, for me, for the fun I
once had doing the artsy part I don't get to do anymore. Technique, thats
it, not sales or buying,

Did I mention I know where there is a big beveler for sale? Cheap.

No.

I just brought in the mail and there was a sale flyer from Glastar with 20%
off their bevelers until 11/30/03.

Including your website in your sig line is ok.

Here comes the techno-idiot again. How would one go about adding their web
site as a sig line?

hehehehehehe...after spraying my monitor with Mt. Dew, I must confess that
I'm just plain too lazy to put my website in my sig line. Sig line? Don't
need no stinkin' sig line.

ROFLMAO

Assuming you are using "what" for a mail reader?

Outlook Express? OK , go up to toolbar where it says "tools" then go to
"options" then to the tab that says signatures, and make one, and that is
where you include the LINK to your web page, Like Andy does, and there is a
setting to automaticaly add it to each message.

Michele,

I don't really "add" my URL with the signature preference but rather
just type it in. :-)
