That is very true... under 1000 calories is a severe starvation diet for
most people, and under 500 is madness.

really. Not to promote it at all.. Thats terrible that people

can think that

*shudder* No thankfully i dont have that disease.

In that case, how come you say the following in your auction?

"The Counting Bracelet is wonderful if you are trying to keep
track of your calories dureing the day. There are 20 larger
sized beads, meaning if your trying to keep under 1000
calories, for every 50 calories that you eat, you may then move
the charm over one bead. (If your trying to stick to under 500
calories then each bead represents 25 calories."

To me, if you were supportive of those trying to overcome the
disease you would want them to try to keep *over* 1000
calories. Why on earth would anyone want to "stick under 500
calories" unless they were anorexic?

From reading your auctions more carefully, I am having a very hard time
believing your statement about your motives. It seems very clear that
you are promoting eating disorders.

the 500 calories, is a lot more than what many are eating as it is, so by
upping it to 500 its a better plan, that having 100 - 200 cals. Many people
i know through the support group my friend went to before she passed away,
see them as a step in the recovery.

Barbara, thank you for the condolences, its really difficult. But i souround
myself with many kind people that care, and it helps :-)

Totally! 2100 calories a day is normal for maintaining a healthy
weight.

heal.

I guess it is one of those things that can be used positively or
negatively.

Hey Kalera,

Its good you understand sweetie :-) i would never harm a fly, in fact i
would probably heal them on a rose quartz crystal lol.

:-)

OK, I understand better now. There is a LOT of underground support for
people to maintain anorectic behavior, and I feared that your auctions
were part of that. I'm VERY GLAD they're not... but you might specify that
more clearly in the auctions, as practicing anas might buy your bracelets
imagining a kind of support that is opposite your intent.

Thanks. I find it more of a balance. I really tune into my inner self and
try to listen and understand my feelings. And understand why I feel the way
I do. And I know it is OK to be sad or feel down one day. And just because
I do, doesn't mean the rest of my entire life is going to fall apart because
I had a bad day one day. Just wake up the next day and choose to be happy.
Life is about choices. And I am now trying to make good, positive ones.
My whole life has changed since February. I really feel like it is going in
the right direction. I have never been happier.

If anyone does need to talk I am here! Just Email ME. I love to write
people all the time.

THanks
Amy

I don't think it's TMI; I think it's awesome that you can talk about it,
and I hope that it helps others to hear of your winning battle. It takes a
lot of strength to fight an eating disorder.

This is serious. Doing a quick google search I also found a website that

looking for help or justification.

Being a former Ana. It is hard and you want to keep it a secret. I
can't
imagine wanting praise for what you are doing. I constantly felt like
crap
and for some reason enjoyed that. When things start getting out of
control
eating is one thing you can control. Once I cried for two hours trying
to
make myself eat a pop tart. I think Ana has more to do with depression
and
control than anything to do with eating. I often will find my self
slipping
back into non-eating. I just don't think about it. So I can see where a
person might want a reminder to eat.

OK my two cents. Probably TMI (too much info)
