Just doing such a Happy Dance for you, Michele. How very wonderful!

"KJ" wrote That's great Michele. I know you will enjoy whatever you
make
out of the
fabric. Even if you just refold it to fondle it. I'm happy for you.

What a miracle! I am setting up my new sewing room and started going
through
all the boxes that had been packed up by the crews of people after the
tornado. A large portion of my fabric stash had been in the attic. The
attic
and second floor were missing after the tornado. I opened a box full

of
fabric and the bottom half was filled with "Dick and Jane"! God is so
good.
He heard my cries. It was the only thing I really missed. Everything

else
can be replaced. Thank you all for your information. I know that there

are
much more serious things going on in the world, but this is such a
special
thing to me. When you lose so much finding just that special item lets

you
know that God is listening. It wasn't hurt at all. Thanks for
wistening
to
me ramble.

I've seen a quilt done with the Dick and Jane fabric. A nine patch and
Snowball quilt. The snowballs were made with the D & J fabric, so that
the scenes could be fussy cut, and cornered by the triangles in the
corners. Looked great. That is also a quick pattern to make up and
always looks good.

Michele,
So glad you found Dick and Jane safe and sound. Have fun with your D&J
project.
What about Spot? Is Spot home too?

Hi Pati!
Yes, I agree. Snowball and nine patch are
terrific! So, what fabric did you use in the nine
patch? I have some Dick and Jane fabric too. I
like your suggestion. I would do the bright color
fabric for five squares, coordinating with the
triangles. The I wondered about the four other
squares. Some cream on cream, to tone with the
D&J? That would save chopping up that special
fabric! What do you suggest? Thanks.

I didn't do the Dick and Jane quilt, wish I had bought some of the
fabric when I first saw it, but didn't get to it until it had been
pulled from the shelves.

As I remember the quilter did the triangles on the Snowballs with a
purple-lavender and used a green of some sort in the nine patches, along
with a fabric that was similar to the background of the print.
