Off topic artsy question
How about a gold "paint pen" and a calligrapher?
"Bart V" wrote in message ... Off topic but I figured with all you artsy folks here... Over the weekend a friend asked me if I had any suggestions how he could print some nice golden lettering on the spine of his stamp albums, preferablty some funky embossed kinda letters. Maybe some rub-on kinda letters or anything that comes to mind..? I'd greatly appreciate an email if anyone has any hints/clues. [If you want real embossed lettering, then you need to impress them into the
surface of the album spine somehow. The word implies some change in the height of the lettering vis a vis the surface it's on. Once that's done (you can buy letter stamps in small sizes, or make your own larger ones) it's no big deal to use gold leaf to fill in recessed areas (instructions are on my site). That's the old-fashioned way to do it, anyhow...] Andrew Werby www.unitedartworks.com "Bart V" wrote in message ... Off topic but I figured with all you artsy folks here... They set up the letters on the computer, put the proper material in the plotter/cutter , (gold metallic vinyl with adhesive back), and hit "print" "Weed out" the backing area stuff you don't want on the edge and away you go. Stick it on and burnish. |

go to a kids specialty shop, or maybe even a Michaels or similar. they have
simple to use kits to emboss, then to use a gold powder to fill in the embossed lines. Not sure of the permanence/ m "nJb" wrote in message ...
