Default Shops in Myrtle Beach area?

Does anyone know of any good shops (needlepoint or general needlework) in the
Myrtle Beach area? I'm going there on vacation in a few weeks and would like
to plan a little S.E.X.

Thanks,

India

I assume you will have transportation. Take a drive south of Myrtle Beach to
Pawley's Island, renowned for their hammocks. On the right side of the road
you will see the Counting House. This is a MUST for any cross-stitcher. They
had absolutely masses of finished work on display, from little Lizzie Kates,
to the large complex models!! I had about a half-hour there, which was much
too short a time. There are other neat little shopping areas there, and
restaurants, do you could make it a lunch and shop trip!!

We're just back from our MB trip! I hadn't been to the Counting House
in a few years. Still very nice, but it had moved. I was glad to
find that its old home was now a tourist info office, and they had
maps to the new location.

Take Route 17 South, and when you get to Pawleys Island, keep an eye
out for the Hammock Shop on the left. Pass that and after a couple of
miles, watch for the VFW on the right, and the Counting house is just
past that.

It took me about 25 minutes to get there from Surfside Beach. Go in
the morning though, because afternoon and evening traffic on 17 can be
a bear.

Another GREAT place to visit right in that area was Brookgreen
Gardens. It's on Rt. 17, on the right, just before entering Pawleys
Island. Fabulous gardens and sculpture to take your breath away.
Stroll around on your own, or take one of the guided tours (included
with the price of admission)

Have a blast!
