Check your style manual.

Let me guess, you are really happy there is a new version of the Chicago
Style Manual coming out, right?

Chicago ain't the only style manual out there.

But it IS the one I use. When I'm not being silly, anyway (and want to make
my boss look bad).

don't put the special character in. alot of sites don't require it because
it messes with the comp language program---thank you Noam Chomsky. a good
translation site can usually be found through a college library site (try
under reference).

getting back to the actual topic I tried that, too, but the response
was that it couldn't find it. I haven't actually been able to find too
many sites that translate into Turkish! Now a "DUH!"....I *work* in a
college library! Why didn't I think to check my Reference
area????!?!?!?! I think I'll go take a little walk . . . .
Thanks, Angel!

*If* I can find my book from the year of Turkish I took

that mystery phrase.

Thanks, Nyssa. I looked in the Oxford Turkish-English dictionary here
at work and wasn't too successful. I'm guessing that these words are
some derivatives of verbs and, not knowing the language, that makes it
kind of hard to look up! I'll be waiting....

Sorry I haven't had a chance to dig through the old boxes of books
to find my Elementary Turkish textbook and notes, but I *do* remember
that in Turkish the verb is *always* at the very end of the
sentence. Sort of makes each sentence a mystery until the last bit.

I've printed out the original query, so I'll be sure to have
the phrase around when the book finally does see the light of day
again. I'll email the answer when/if I can find it.
