What is this technique called?
I did a cushion centre using a similar method, though I used small trips
which overlapped and were held down by free machine embroidery and a bit of hand embroidery. I didn't use any netting, and can't remember whether the base was fusible, but I think it must have been. I don't think the method had a particular name - it was in a UK Embroiderers Guild mag about 10 years ago before my quilting days!. Its in the misc. section of my pictures (the one with the Llama bag). The scraps were like confetti and were attached to a base and covered with netting I think. Maybe fusible was involved. Some of the pictures were realistic, such as trees and others were more stylized like mosaic design. Can anyone recall what this is called? I'd like to play with it a bit, but need the name to do a search. Thanks, Pat in Virginia |

Thanks, Pat in Virginia After running though my book cases only twice, I found my book on this: More Snippet Sensations but Cindy Walter This one involved fusible, remove the backing paper, then snip and let fall into place. Press according to instructions and stitch on top. I was going to says "snippets" even if I hadn't found my book, but I guess now you'd all not ever believe that... Hanne in DK |

Polly:
Hanne, Gen, and others have correctly identified Snippets. Your guess has merit too! THANK YOU to everyone who answered my request. Pat in Virginia "Polly Esther" wrote in message ... Madness?
