Default I found it!

As it turns out....my joke was a longer, edgier version of Polly's. I had
to re-boot the old computer and looked through my old emails and found the
note Polly had written me after I posted! Woo hoo! Thank heavens she
included my note in her reply or I would have been tearing my hair out! You
know, perhaps I didn't post it in the newsgroup, just sent it to Polly.
hummmm, maybe that's why I couldn't find it. Yup, that it! Now I remember
I didn't want to piggyback on her joke. Like I say, I could hide my own
Easter eggs!

KJ

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In a small Alabama town there was a "Nativity Scene" that showed great skill
and talent had gone into creating it.

But one small feature bothered me:

the three wise men were wearing firemen's helmets.

Totally unable to come up with a reason or explanation, I left.

At a "Quik Stop" on the edge of town, I asked the lady behind the counter
about the helmets. She exploded into a rage, yelling at me, "You darn
Yankees never read your Bibles!"

I assured her that I did, but simply couldn't recall anything about firemen
in the Bible.

She jerked her Bible from behind the counter and riffled through some pages,
and finally jabbed her finger at a passage. Sticking it in my face, she
said, "See, it says right here. 'The three wise men came from afar'."

Oh, Oh, Oh, Ah, the tradition continues. Glad to have been initiated in the
holiday humour of our joke keepers. Thank you Polly, Jo and KJ for the
continuing the tradition. Looking forward to reading more! D

You found the joke, but misplaced your Christmas tree lights.
Well I guess you really can't have everything in this world, eh?

The lights are still hanging around the edges of her roof. She forgot to
take them down last year. It could happen. Polly

Nope, just went out to look and make sure!
And you're right Jo, as soon as I find one thing....something else goes
astray! Seems to happen a lot in my quilt projects too! If my blocks all
line up perfectly, the corners won't miter.
