Default embossing on acetate

Has anyone ever stamped and then embossed on a sheet of acetate?? I have been
trying but I get embossing powder stuck to the whole sheet of acetate - not
just to the areas where I want it! I have tried using a magic static bag and
talcum powder over the acetate before stamping but no luck. Any other ideas?
Or know of a way I can get the same look maybe without embossing? I want to
make a black window pane on the sheet of acetate.

I had the same problem but it seemed to be a humidity problem. If I heated the
acetate with the heat gun before using the magic static bag I had better
results.
