For all you folks with cold, snowy weather there is hope.
Yesterday the buds on my plum tree started busting open.
It is so pretty. We still can get a late freeze or two
but it sure is nice to see spring getting here.
The nice weather has had me out doing clean up and my
back is killing me. If there was snow on the ground
or it was too cold to be out I would probably be
feeling a lot better than I do! PAss the ibuprofen.

Dh just finished another round of snow removal from the driveway. It looks
like there is another storm brewing for next week. This is getting to be
almost funny!

We're expecting snow in NJ starting tonight. Of course I plan to attend the
NJ Quilt Fest in Somerset, NJ tomorrow and take a 1/2 day course in addition
to browsing the quilt displays and vendors. I'm going regardless!

Have fun, Alice! The Mancusos had a show here last week. Lots of the same
vendors and quilts will be in NJ, I'm pretty sure. I really liked the Puss
in the Corner variation ... wait until you see it! Three were fantastic hand
quilted large quilts, with stitches I could not believe. Most of the HQ were
traditional or leaning towards traditional. MQ quilts were all over the map.
On the arty level, one quilt featured graves stones, another had a monster
or some such (I didn't care to look too closely) ... talk about spooky. A
quilt show sure adds interest to the cold days of winter!

I'm preparing to head outdoors and fire up the snowblower to remove four new
inches of white stuff.

Generally I don't mind winter or snow... but DH is in NYC and I have a
killer migraine-like today... but with my steep driveway -- have to keep it
cleared or it turns to a total sheet of ice. So I popped a few more
pills.... and as soon as they kick in.... I'm headed outside.

Oh spring.... oh spring.... please consider this an open invitation for a
visit!

Our trees are blooming now, too, Taria! It's really sort of a shame,
since it's far too early, and the blossoms will probably all fall victim
to a late cold (relatively-speaking, of course G) snap. Still, it's
lovely to look at, delightful to see ....

Thanks, Pat. You just reminded me to pack my camera! I am going by myself
this time which I didn't think I was looking forward to, but on the positive
side, I can take all the time I want to look at the quilts - and shop!

I am actually taking a needlepunch class. I bought a small kit at one of
the shows and never did start it due mostly from lack of skill. I didn't
want to take a quilt class since I have more than enough quilting WIPs to
keep me busy so I didn't need another. First time taking one of their
classes. I'm hoping it will be good since I think I will trudging through
some snow to get there.
