Default knitting with 2 or more colors

ladies when knitting with 2 colors , i knit one as usual , hold the
other in back and sort of let it come under and over the first one.
this keeps nice tension ,,,, same works with more than one ,
When knitting in the round i made up special patterns like leaving the
threads hang and when i reach it start to knit with it 2-3 stiches
before it was left hanging , this makes for some wavy paterns like
waves on the sand ..... and is very mush a unique look ..... but with
fair isle , i just carried the 3 colors around doing the over under
trick ,,,, mirjam
