you're not very familiar with the gem markets, are you?

I know absolutely nothing. Of course I only mentioned my ignorance

Yes, I see what you mean and it only reinforces my impression of just

We'll just have to agree to disagree.

When people answer you "no" they are telling you that when they go to
the dealer they roll some dice and pay whatever comes up; that they
just sort of guess; that the price is based on whether or not they've
gotten this week's groceries; that nobody ever looks a dealer in the
eye and says "$10,000 for that?! You're on crack." You can bet that
people who actually buy rubies know exactly how much rubies cost.

And you even had the good grace to ask for a table rather than demand
a single number. Come on folks, if you are so smart give the guy a
range.

OK.

From about $1.25 per carat to well over $30,000.00 per carat, depending
on quality.

To rephrase the OP's question in a format that you might understand:

"Is there a basic table showing what the value of a building per square
foot is?"

Interesting. On the one hand, you agree that you don't know anything about this
market. And then, when it's explained to you just what you don't know and why
the request wasn't reasonable, you just keep right on deciding that despite your
obvious unfamiliarity with the whole subject, you must of course be right, no
matter what the rest of us try patiently to explain to you.

We'll just have to agree to disagree.

I don't think I'll bother to agree or disagree with you. it seems like
explanations or attempts thereof just are going right over your head, and I
don't enjoy banging my own against a blank wall. Think what you like. I'm
rather guessing that you've not come to this group to actually learn or discuss,
but rather to see if you can stir up trouble or argument. There's a word for
that sort of poster, you know. Are you a Troll? Or are you capable of
actually listening to people who might happen to understand a subject better
than you. if you happen to understand a subject under discussion better than
we do, then please let us know. You might mention the basis of experience or
reasearch or expertise that informs your posts. And make your arguments with
facts, reasoned and logically arrived at positions, and verifiable information
rather than arguments based on uninformed fears, knee jerk reactions, cynical
and unsupported scepticism, or just the desire to stir up discord.

Do you actually have any experience or interest in the craft of jewelry that
brought you to this group, or did you just find us by accident?

I have been waiting for about 5 days now but the shipping times are 10-19 days. As soon as I get them I will let you know. I have not seen you on that forum for a long time now and I was wondering where you are? How did it go with the collection that you got? Here is the link to the beads again http://www.liangdianup.com/beadscrafts_1.htm and here is the link to the Swarovski beads http://www.liangdianup.com/inventory/900020.htm if those links don't work then you can goto www.lducompany.com and click on the beads picture, that should take you right there. I hope you see this message and get back to me cause I miss talking to you
