Thank you, Everyone!
I've been card hugged!!
I was totally surprised today when my DS brought up my mail - so many cards and well wishes from friends, old and new - some real groaner jokes, special embroideries, postcards - owls, birds. Each and every item will be cherished for a long time to come - I'll be attaching them to my window treatment which will also help to shade some of the south-facing sun during the daytime - in the meantime, I am sleeping at odd hours and for longer periods during the day while staying awake at night! This upcoming week will be my 6th session with the stronger chemo version - bloodwork on wed followed by a chemo doctor appointment, who will also give me the results of last week's CT scan. No problematic side effects from anything that has been thrown at me - I can handle it! Even my hair, though thinner, has stopped disappearing and if you have seen Judy Dench lately - my hair is just a tad shorter than hers. I had the energy this week to begin sorting through my quilty magazine stash - the keep pile is slightly larger than the share one - so if anyone is passing??? Thank you again, everyone - your thoughts and wishes are much appreciated. Jennifer in Ottawa |
