Default Sock Monkeys win prize

Last night my guild had a pajama party with prizes given in various
categories. I wore my Sock Monkey pajamas and slippers, wore a tiny
sock monkey in my hair, and carried two of my monkeys. One of the
monkeys was the one I recently got from Ebay. I won for most creative.
I won three fat quarters. The monkeys were very happy.

How very cute! I have spent a good portion of this evening working on
making a sock monkey, and the bloody thing is going to be UGLY!!!!! I
can guarantee it will be the last one I ever make too!

Congratulations on your win! Just don't let those monkeys jump on the
bed in their excitement!

Herrschner's has always carried the socks, and the patterns.

The Vermont Country Store has them.

Much better price he

http://www.sockcompany.com/or.html

A search on google gives plenty more sources.

If you are getting Rockford Red Heel socks new, sock monkey
instructions generally come with them.

I got my last bunch off of ebay.

Oh my goodness serious Flashback! I totally forgot that I had a sock
monkey as a child. I loved Georgie so much but I don't know what
happened to him. I am going to have to ask my Mother what happened. I
went to the Vermont Store and bought four. They will make the perfect
stocking stuffers for my step-children and nephews next year for
Christmas! Thanks for the idea!!!

I think I bought my "red-heeled socks" at Joann's. The directions are
usually with them. I only have a couple monkeys that were made by me.
I prefer to get them at yard sales. Some of them have ratty tails and
their stuffing is escaping, but that makes them all the more endearing.
I think of them as collectibles because somebody's granny or aunty made
them. I have pictures, but most photo sites are not friendly to web
tvs. It takes me forever to view anything on webshots. One of these
days I'm going to find an easy way for me to show some pictures of my
quilts, quilting room, QIs and monkeys.

Have you tried yahoo photos? It also takes for ever on webshots. I don't
seem to have a problem with Yahoo.
