Default Been gone--but need OT christmas help

My DH worked with American guys who had jeans so tough they stood up when you
washed them, like the ones he remembered from his youth. Can you suggest any
brand names that I could lookfor on the internet to buy him for Christmas?
Thanks so much

Howdy!

Dickies, made right over here in Ft.Worth, Texas.
They're what Big Tex wears at the Tx.State Fair every year. ;-D

See the Dura Cargo (they are Tough!)

Also Wranglers. Levis, maybe, but they're not all that
tough anymore, they keep "treating" them w/ acid baths.
Whatever the brand, the stone washed or pre-washed are not
as tough as the regular denims.

Btw, "relaxed fit" means they aren't butt-huggers;
they have a little more room to move around in, sit down in.

While you're ordering on-line, don't forget the quilt shops! G

Welcome home!

Sounds like they needed to wash them more often!!! RedQueen,
imagining dirty jeans and socks marching to the washing machine and
climbing in.

Hi Gerry
Info on weight when you are searching might help. I noticed a pair on the JC
Penney's site, under 'workwear'
that were 1.4 lbs - others were about 13 or 14 oz and some as light as 10oz.
As Sandy pointed out, avoid stone washed or acid washed - they are prebeaten up
clothes - part of the pretend working look.
Take care
