Default Need advice for creating a custom platinum cast pendant

If I may chime in here, I've created models from photo's of animals
using the method of 3D scanning a hand-carved model.

(you may need to log into the JCK Marketplace CAD/CAM
Forum, to view the image of the Springer Spaniel
under the topic "Organic Modeling with CAD").

A 3d laser scan of a hand carved wax is incorporated into a CAD jewelry
design, CNC milled in wax, then cast and finished by traditional
methods.

Since it will be scaled down to a precise size and thickness in ArtCAM,
the hand carved wax can be done much larger than the finished piece,
thereby allowing the capture of precise, natural detail. The depth of
small features such as fur is exaggerated in the hand carved wax, in
order to retain much of the original likeness in the final polish of
the casting.

Hope this helps.

Why do you post a link to a page that is not accessible, and for which
you need to register before being allowed access, instead of simply
posting the image on your own web site?

The original poster is obviously a consumer and not listed on the JBT,
which is a membership criterium to be allowed access to the forum.

Or do you really think that he has three trade references, has a
business license, has a retail store of which he can supply a copy of
his lease or that he can supply a copy of his jewelers block insurance?

What is the !@#$%^&* point of your post?
