Default Two Little Happy Dances!

They're finished! The two little baby quilts for my son's high school
class Christmas Basket family are done. I put them in the dryer this
morning at 4 a.m. and now they're all wrapped up and ready to go to
their new homes. http://www.flickr.com/photos/16989612@N00/?saved=1 If
there are Quilt Police, they will come drag me away for committing
these. The pastel one has wobbly quilting lines. The bright one is too
thick, too sturdy feeling for a baby quilt. I used the wrong batting
and accidentally put the backing fabric on wrong side out so instead of
being fuzzy it's solid and ... not fuzzy. There are smooshed binding
spots and corners that are too round and please don't look at the
free-hand quilting. But they're done and I think they look ok from a
galloping horse and I hope so much that the little ones who get them
will like them. That's what I kept thinking about at 2:30 a.m today
when my bobbin thread kept knotting and I was swilling hot tea to stay
awake.

Hugs to all and now I'm off to sleep a bit more.

Sunny

They're great, Sunny. No problem at all. Babies are the most
uncritical of recipients - as long as a corner will fit in their mouths,
they'll love it g
Seriously, they are sweet. I really like the pattern of the pastel one.
And, don't worry - there are *no* quilt police.
It was a lovely gesture to make and will give your son a wonderful
Christmas memory of giving, even if it isn't particularly convenient.
