Default Lopi Sweater Patterns

I'm kind of sad because last year, I saw the greatest lopi sweater
pattern/kit being sold on ebay by a woman in Iceland (I believe she had a
store as well), and I can't find her anymore! I've looked on Google, and
I've been searching Ebay, but no luck.

Any of you frequent Ebayers: Do you remember a woman who sold a bunch of
lopi kits from Iceland? There was one sweater that I absolutely loved...I
believe it was only two colors, a creamy beige/taupe color and cream for the
design. The yoke pattern looked sort of like snowflakes or icicles (not a
traditional motif, but very nice none the less).

The only reason I didn't buy it when I saw it last time was because she was
selling the kit only, and the kit was for an XXL men's. I didn't want that
much left over yarn, so I thought I'd hold out until she sold another
smaller sized kit or just the pattern by itself (they were plentiful at the
time). *sigh* I guess I forgot to look. Now I can't find her at all!

Does this ring a bell to anyone?

Here is what I would do:

I would get the right Lopi pattern from someone like Halcyon Yarn. The
Reynolds pattern will only be a few dollars. Then I would watch eBay until
a lot of the right main color of yarn came on sale, and I would try to get
it a reasonable price (remembering the shipping and handling charge : )
Buying yarn on eBay might save you as much as $14. Then, if I did not see
the right contrasting color on eBay right away, I would buy the contrasting
yarn from Halcyon.

At one point, I bought a lot of Lopi on eBay, and the seller threw in
several Reynold's Lopi pattern books. You also might find something like
that. The Reynolds patterns look fairly easy, but I have not tried any of
them - yet. Most call for 29" circular needles in sizes 6 and 10 and DPN in
sizes 6 & 10, and stitch holders. I'm going to do one right after Christmas.
Actually, only the yoke and cuffs of my sweater will be Lopi, most of the
sweater will be Gjestal.

Actually, as I flip through some Reynolds pattern books, I see that
"Reynolds" and "Lopi" are registered tradmarks, but I do not see any
copyright notice. Maybe you could just get a copy or scan of a pattern book
that you like.

The pattern wasn't by Reynolds...it was an original pattern...from the
region, I assume. I'd have no trouble getting the yarn...I just wanted the
pattern.
