Default sticking paper to plastic

Hello

I am trying to paste a colour photocopy on to a thin plastic sheet (about
1mm thick)
using a water-based glue. The paper is standard photocopy paper. When
the paper dries it causes the sheet to warp. I have tried soaking the
paper and drying it before pasting but this doesn't seem to work
either. I am going to try a solvent spray adhesive next which I have a
feeling may be OK but I'm worried that over time that even that may
distort as well through the paper taking in water from the air. Is
there any way to get around this problem so as to prevent distortion
after the paper dries? Ultimately I want to use a water-based glue for
several reasons. Any advice on an economical water based glue to stick
paper to plastic would also be very welcome.

Many thanks

Nick

don,t know of a glue, but, if the project is a one off have you
thought about laminating it.
