AD : New Stuff is up on eBay !!!
Alright everyone, all the rest of my precious stock is now on ebay item#
2645907224 and the way it ended up is that I have added new stuff made in the last month, 2 new very large pieces as well. Go to www.earthlytreasuresbeadwork.com and look a gallery 14. As I have stated before, ths would be good for someone outthere who has a shop or does shows and need to bolster up what they already have. The 3 largest pieces are, by themselves worth the price of the lot total, retail. It's funny, but I am not at all upset as I was about it. This stuff is precious to me and since I am going blind from diabetes, I am never in this life again going to produce this much work ever again. I work 4 time slower than I used to. This is great stuff and would be a welcome addition to any person's shop or show stock. A number of the pieces were UFO's from before my eyesight stated to go, that are recently finished. One piece, the one with the 2 peyote tubes at the top is particularly extraordinary, if I do say so myself and presented a number of construction challenges. Thanks to everyone who has been supportive ot us during this awful time. Rainbow |

Rainbow, what are you doing to control your diabetes? I
f you bring your BG readings down into the safety zone (below 120), you can stop the deterioration of your eyesight in its tracks. Considering the quality of your work, and the satisfaction it must give you to do it, it would be a terrible fate to lose your ability to do it. A low-carb diet and a few workouts a week have brought me close to being able to totally eliminate my diabetes meds without an increase in my glucose. In fact, taking the meds in their old doses these days would bring my blood sugar to a dangerous -low-. The diet, though quite different from the all-American norm, is very satisfying, and my strength training does exactly what the description says: builds strength. I have a lot of energy, and no cravings -- except for fresh raspberries :-) ... and I can have those, as long as I don't eat a whole flat in a day! My diabetes is not really the issue anymore. The effects of it, before
anyone explained what I had, had already taken control. In a patiet who has been diagnosed in time, when the complications can be dealt with. Unfortuneately. for me, the doctors played me for a sucker way too long. This is a very sensitive issue for me and if i seem somewhat sarcastic and defensive, I am. I lost 114 lbs and had a continuing bg of around 70 for 2 years. The neuropathy in my feet and legs abated somewhat, but is still there and I have vascular problems. The eyesight issue is really sensitive. The leading opthalmologist in town let my eye dsease go for too long before he finally admitted I already had advanced retinopathy. He kept sating I had no diabetic changes in my eyes, because he wanted to sell me on the idea of 2 cataract surgeries and plastic surgery for my eye bags and to remove a papiloma from an eyelid. Believe me I am giving you the readers digest version. So when he had played out all he could withthe insurance company and got every dime for every worthless proceedure, which I did not need atall ... he admitted I had retinopathy. Well, it wasthen that I remembered that I had heard an aruemen in the hall between him and a technician. On my original visit, because something was wrong with the cataract surgery, the tech examined me and let me look at photographs of my eyes ... pointed out all the retiophy and a particula hot spot, ready to blow. he was yelling at her that her job was to pre-screen, not diagnose. So he came in the room and denied I had it. Look, I just thought the tech was an idiot. She's not a doctor, you know ? Well tne vision kept deteriorating and I finally complained again and had angios and he finally did some laser work to seal some of the bulging veins. I really didn;t do that well. I had a second set of angios, which he rejected and would not do more laser work. I am cutting to the chase on this part ... it seemsi did need more, but my insurance was slow pay and unless I paid cash which I did not have up front, he wouldn;t do it. Up to that point, i had no bleeding in my eyes. Then I did. I saw a specialist, and his remark was that this was a very old problem, DUH ! I'd basically been shuffled around so the doc could use me as a cash cow. I have had several bleeders ince and it is just a matter of time. I can tell you this, that I am wll versed in the hw's and why's of diabetes. But for me, diet and exercise xontrol and some med did not prevent the advancement of the diseaseand it's complications. Beautiful stuff. But what is the REAL starting bid? (I hate it when
someone lists a starting bid that is meaningless) Tina "rainbow" wrote in message ... Rainbow -
First off, I would like to tell you that your work is stunningly gorgeous. That said, the auction you have up might be unsuccessful for you, for several reasons. First, your pictures are so small, one cannot see the detail of your work at all Also, you did not include pics of all of the work offered. Second, you have a link to your website in the auction description, and that might cause your auction to get pulled. I know that it's a link to the work you have listed, but since it leads to other things not listed, someone at eBay might have a problem with it and pull it. I sure won't report it, but others might. Third, you have a reserve. That tends to drive bidders away, because they have no idea what kind of bids you will accept. Especially for such a large amount of money. And last but not least, you are auctioning off the whole lot all at once. Most people cannot afford to buy a wholesale lot like that, but hopefully you will capture the type of audience you want (a shop owner, perhaps). But if you are selling the whole thing as a wholesale lot, a better category yould have been: Home All Categories Jewelry & Watches Designer, Artisan Jewelry Beaded, Lampwork Sets, Mixed Lots I certainly want to see you succeed with this auction - especially with all the troubles you have been having lately. So I say all these things not to be mean or to criticize, but to offer help. I wish you good luck and (((((((hugs))))))) -- Kandice Seeber Air & Earth Designs http://www.lampwork.net "rainbow" wrote in message ... The real starting bid is $399 .... The reserve is not much over that,
but I can't disclose that. I think maybe one or 2 people will bid and I am not expecting a bid war. Rainbow |

Why can't you disclose it? I thought it was common practice to state what
the reserve is someplace in the auction? I really hate this practice. (But I suppose sour grapes has a place in my question too, because I know I could never afford to bid on this.) It's very beautiful work, and I hope you have this professionally photographed and bound. Tina "rainbow" wrote in message ... The real starting bid is $399 .... Looks that way to me, too. Can our resident lawyer-in-training offer
any suggestions?:-) Deirdre On Thu, 10 Jul 2003 22:33:28 GMT, "Christina Peterson" wrote: Can you find a lawyer who will help you sue? How can this be anything but malpractice?
