Zipper wiont mesh

I have a jacket and when I pull up on the fly the zipper will not "lock". Do

Most likely the problem is with the slide .
First check to see if the teeth are not broken or missing. Also make sure the
bottom piece is fitting properly in the slide when it is at the bottom of the
jacket. The slide is easily replaced if you can get the correct one. I hope

Probably: if these are brass teeth and the jacket has been well worn,
the teeth may have lost their bite. If you are not an experienced sewer
of outdoor gear, I would advise finding one, or a good tailor to make
the change for you. get a price estimate and decide if the jacket is
worth the expense - it won't be a cheap fix!
