OT rain!
We woke to the glorious sound of rain this morning in the
high desert of so cal. It is a foreign sound. Rain has been rare here. We need it so desperately. Hopefully it is not so hard that hillsides in the recent fire areas are sliding. Rain is such a wonderful sound when it has been so long away. Taria |

OT rain!
We have grey skies and I feel like death warmed over G..... the storm
is moving in. They are anticipating more rain in the next couple of days here in Arizona than in the last several months combined. The northern part of Arizona is over 8" below normal precipitation amounts for the year, we are about 4" below normal, so we really need the rain too. Rain has been just as rare here, and I'd have loved to have waked up to the same thing this morning. We have a little predicted for later or tomorrow, but hope isn't very high. -- Sandy in Henderson, near Las Vegas sw.foster1 (at) gmail (dot) com (remove/change the obvious) http://www.sandymike.net |

Unfortunately for us here in the Midwest, that same storm system will probably be bringing us a winter storm. Snow alone would not be so bad, but the prediction is also for sleet and freezing rain. That means very bad driving conditions and possibly power lines going down. Julia in MN -- This message has been scanned for viruses by Norton Anti-Virus http://webpages.charter.net/jaccola/ |

I take it all back! It's raining! It's pretty cold, compared to what we're used to -- only about 45° right now. OT rain!
Woohoo for you Sandy. I learned the roofer did not properly
flash a skylight. There is a nice mark on the family room ceiling. Wouldn't you know there is nobody answering the phone at the roofing co.? The really stinky part of the thing is the old roof never once leaked. The brand new one does. That just seems wrong. ENjoy the rain while you can. The birds even look happy here. OT rain!
We are socked in and getting a good soaking here in the Valley. (Not
currently the Valley of the Sun....G ) It was very wet to load the car leaving CostCo just a bit ago... and most of the stuff will wait in the car until the drizzle is a bit less. sigh. But we really need the rain. (Gotta keep telling myself that....... I think I may go put on dry clothes and lay down for a while. After I take some mega dose of Ibuprofen.....VBG) Pati, in Phx Sandy wrote: In article rTV3j.1$UG1.0@trnddc01, Taria wrote: We woke to the glorious sound of rain this morning in the high desert of so cal.
