Default Another Use for XS charts

Carol Duvall had a creative use for simple charts: wall painting! Using a 1/2"
square of sponge glued to a piece of 1/2" wooden stake, dab paint onto the
wall, counting dabs instead of stitches.

Finished 12/8/04 -- Army bear ornament
WIP: Fireman's Prayer (#2), Amid Amish Life, Angel of Autumn, Calif Sampler,
Holiday Snowglobe

Puts Teresa Wentzler's patterns in a whole new perspective, doesn't it.
*wicked grin*

Ohmigawd! what an evil evil thought!

But how would you embellish it? Metallic paints?

Ah, but there are tons of permanent inks, metallic, pearl, etc., for
stamping and crafting! I envision using a nylon or metal screen for a
"grid" (something like window screen), a small sponge to "stamp" with -
voila! a TW mural of sorts on the wall. Probably much faster than xs,
too! Now I'm thinking there's probably a small square stamp available
-- oh no, two hobbies mixing together!! AAARRRGGGHHHH!

Details, details! *Grin* I admit that I was captured by the idea and
immediately moved from "simple charts" to "charts I'd like to stitch"
and that's where my mind started to boggle. *giggle*

Now, now, Elizabeth... Personally, I picked up the calculator and tried to
figure out whether I could fit an MLI angel on my guest room wall. And I think
one of the older/smaller ones would fit. Now just gotta shanghai Seanette into
helping!

I must say that I find the concept really and truly intriguing. And I
have wall(s) big enough to consider carrying it out.

I've tried to decide (well, actually I've gone as far as to plan) quilt tops
made from 1" squares & half squares (2 triangles together) -- never had the
guts to do it (or the time)
