Default first pieced quilts (tshirt quilts)

I'm normally pretty quiet (online anyway), but wanted to share my
celebration for making my first pieced quilts. Nothing fancy, just 2
tshirt quilts for Christmas gifts a few months ago.

BUT I've learned so much thanks to this newsgroup (like how to make
continuous bias binding, binding quilts, etc), that it made the
project fun.

Those look great - definitely don't look like your first quilts!

Good to see you here, Janet. So glad your first projects went well.
They look wonderful.
I've obviously not quite understood about T-shirt quilts. To see yours
and Carole's here explains (to me) the attraction. I haven't seen such
T-shirts! I really will have to get out more gg

VERY NICE! I'm just putting the binding on a t-shirt quilt (the
second one) that I've made for my adult daughter. It's queen-sized
and has a satin sheet for the backing, because she wanted a cuddly,
usable quilt! It has taken me a LONG time!!

http://community.webshots.com/album/548653381VnYVuS shows it before I
started the actual machine quilting. I'll take more pictures once the
binding is finished.

Carole, I like yours, too -- and I love the expression of intense
concentration on your QI's face. G
