framing
I'm always having trouble getting a nice 'frame' around flat items...I've
tried baking the item and then applying the black (or whatever) PC strip around it, and I've also tried doing raw-to-raw. Either way, the frame comes out lumpy/bumpy. I've seen Donna's work and it is elegant and seamless--and the framing around it is perfect. What's the trick? KellyK |

LOL Seriously, have you tried a thin piece of window glass over the top? __________________________________________________ _____________________________ Posted Via Uncensored-News.Com - Accounts Starting At $6.95 - http://www.uncensored-news.com The Worlds Uncensored News Source |

two tricks that help---
let your cut or extruded strip cool a few seconds before applying; every bit of firmness helps keep things from de-forming. when you cut the strip, dont make a perpendicular cut--that is, striaght down. You want a slant like this ------/------- and then when you butt the two edges together its easy to make the seam dissapear -- Sarajane's Polyclay Gallery Beads-Dolls-Wearable Art www.polyclay.com see the current auctions at: http://snipurl.com/aiid "Miracle Smith" wrote in message ... kellyK wrote: I'm always having trouble getting a nice 'frame' around flat items...I've tried baking the item and then applying the black (or whatever) PC strip around it, and I've also tried doing raw-to-raw.
