Q: How many subscribers to an e-mail list does it take to change a light
bulb ?

1 to change the light bulb and post that the light bulb has been changed

14 to share similar experiences changing light bulbs and how the light bulb
could have been changed differently.

7 to caution about the dangers of changing a light bulb

27 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs

41 to correct spelling/grammar flames

6 to argue whether it's 'lightbulb' or 'light bulb'

another 6 to condemn those as anal-retentive

2 industry professionals to inform the group the proper term is 'lamp'

27 to post URLS where on can see examples of different light bulbs

12 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they can't
handle the light bulb controversy

4 to suggest that posters request the light bulb FAQ

44 to ask what is a FAQ

2 to post reasons why the light bulb burning out is the result of a Govt.
conspiracy

4 to say 'didn't we go through this a short time ago ?'

43 to say 'do a Google search on light bulbs'

1 lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all
over again.........

Come on, Dan, you know better than to ask when you could just Google for
it!
Googling for
"light bulb faq"
gets 1,720 hits.
Every one of them points to one version or another of this humorous
piece.
But.
Googling for
"Light Bulbs" FAQ gets to something called the Light Bulb FAQ at
http://members.misty.com/don/bulb1.html
Yes, Virginia, there is a light bulb faq.
