Baking Soda Beads ...
I wonder also what does it means to "neutralize" them??
Yes, with dark color as based bead, it's beautiful ... I particularly like it with Med or dark Lapis ! Julie |

Moretti/Effetre glass is a soda-lime glass. By adding baking soda you're causing an alkali reaction on the surface of the beads. Neutralizing the baking soda with a mild acid stops the chemical reaction. Opposites cancel each other out. -- KarenK Desert Dreamer Designs http://members.cox.net/desertdreameraz/ Ebay Sto http://www.stores.ebay.com/desertdreamerdesigns JustBeads: http://www.justbeads.com/search/ql.cfm?s=DesertDreamer |

When would you do that? You couldn't do it after making them but before
annealing, could you? Do you jusy bathe them in vinegar after they're annealed? Tina "Karen_AZ" wrote in message news:0807b.49953$nf3.15770@fed1read07... You don't have to do it if they are encased. At least that's how I
understand it. Starlia "Christina Peterson" wrote in message news:1063059339.326373@prawn... When would you do that? You couldn't do it after making them but before annealing, could you?
