Default fabric stores in Europe??

Christy, I hope you're going to Paris! There are some wonderful places to shop
there, including, but not limited to, Montmartre, which has at least a dozen
fabric stores. There's also a wonderful button and yarn shop near Les Halles. I
thought I had a link to it, but can't seem to find it. But I found it through
Google, so hopefully you also can.

And if you go to Florence, a must-see is Casa dei Tesutti. Wonderful (mostly
Italian) fabrics, beautiful store, and handsome Italian men to wait on you.
What more could you ask? LOL

stores, museums, etc. to visit while I'm there.

In London: the V&A Museum in Knightsbridge and Libertys in Oxford Street.
There are many other fabric shops in and around Berwick Street, near
Liberty, that are worth looking at.

If you are coming to Sweden, be sure to visit the Textile Museum in Borås.
Their website is only in Swedish, but there is a brochure in English that I
can snail mail you if you would like to send me your address. This museum is
definitely a must see!!!

Liberty no longer has fabric.

Southall has lots of Indian fabric shops, and there's my favourite out
at Wembley - BL Joshi UK ltd. Aladdin's cave for fabric, that place!

If you are coming to Sweden, be sure to visit the Textile Museum in Borås.

And I believe you can get a factory tour of Husqvarna Viking, which is in
Sweden, but I can't think of the city it's closest to.

Husqvarna. :-) (yeah, I'm a smart-ass!)

It's near Jönköping and about 1 hours drive east from Borås.

If you're in Sweden you should also visit the Silk Mill in Stockholm. Still
producing silk with old methods. See
http://www.kasiden.se/english.htm for more information.

You're kidding me! Is there really a city in Sweden called Husqvarna? Love

it!
