newby questions about papermaking
Hello,
I've recently started making paper at home. I have several "starter" questions: The slurry/pulp settles unevenly in the frame. About 2/3 of the time, the paper is too thick around the edges, but has a hole in the middle. How do I get the paper to be more uniform? How can I get the paper to have a different "feel"? So far, my paper feels rougher than the materials I started with. Is there a cheap way to put a smooth finish on the paper, if I don't have rollers to press it with? If anyone has advice, I'll gladly take it. Thank you! Ted Shoemaker |
