Congratulations!

But for curiosity, why did you wait so long? You've been here in the States for
a lot longer, I thought, than the required minimum...

Congratulations,
Great pictures.
you look just like you write,
and thats meant as a compliment.
So now all the priviledges of being a US citizen are yours,
what about the responsibilities?
Not liable for military service surely?
How long in the US?
All the best
Ted.

Not only that, but it's a fair bet he can locate not only europe itself, but
Holland and other countries, on a map. Something a surprising and depressing
number of U.S. school children (and adults) are sometimes hard pressed to do...

We also had apple pie, a flag in the shape of a cake. The music
selection was Star Spangled Banner by Jimi Hendrix, Living in the USA by
Steve Miller Band, American Land by Bruce Springsteen, R.O.C.K in the
USA by JC Mellencamp, God Bless America by Celine Dion, and others. The
CD was made by my kids.

I was also given a baseball signed by all the people who came to the
surprise party my wife had thrown.
