You have to have perogies at prairie weddings,

Indeed you do! We had some at our wedding (in Saskatoon) and even had
whisper some cabbage rolls too. DH loves 'em.

Amazing how the list has shortened - I just killfiled Sunflower - must have
been the reference to you-know-who that did it. Gosh, it`s gone so nice and
quiet. Trouble is if she ever does say anything worthwhile I won`t see it,
so if she does - someone please let me know, but she was getting so BORING!

Now off to bed - I couldn`t sleep last night either, just too hot and
sticky, and had cramp in my foot all night in any case.

Actually, it wasn't any form of criticism, it was just a bit of fun.

If you want to find my opinion of MLI's design, or, more accurately, recent
designs, I suggest you look through the thread to the other posts I have
made.

How about cross stitching WITH that hair? I certainly don't enjoy
threading needles that often! heh heh

Sarah, i do not know what you study ,
but probably your studies have some book lists that would add to your
subject. As much as i appreciate , book lists given by Tv
personalities like Oprah, if you are such a strong wiled person , why
not go to your public library and discuss your interests with one of
the librarians , she / he might give you a list of books , either
classical , professional , or contemporary that will fit your needs or
appetite for reading. The maker of such list might give you a more
ballanced list and knowing what you have already explored , might show
you new roads, than sticking to a list More general for all likle the
Tv personality`s list.
You might of course also go to the libraray index catalog and sort out
books by subjects. I would advice you to widen your reading ,
sideways, meaning if you read a novel about a period , why not add at
least one History book that deals with that period. Or some other
realated Literature, this will really widen your horizon. Remeber the
wonderful expression ,`She is reading for a degree in .....`
best of luck

I stuck up for myself! Actually my reading interests vary - I LOVE reading
but since most of my friends don't have any of the same interests that I
do - I have to go on other's advice

I have gone through 8 of Oprah's titles so far. Right now I am about 2/3rds
thru "The Corrections" by Johnathon Franzen. Next on my list is "Mother of
Pearl" by Melinda Haynes My goal is to get thru her old list of books by
the end of the summer.

Like I mentioned before - I'm a strong willed person

Strange remark Sarah ,
I like to be MY age , Just turned 60 years and am extremly proud of
it, i made it , i survived wars, and illnesses and terror acts and I
am here , How wonderful. Life has given me a head full of silver
medals, for all my achievements. And as my head has no more place for
reading etc,, my body widened a bit to accomodate place for more
collected knowledge. just recieved a card that wil give various
discounts , while my artistic career goes on in ful steam ....i am
researching , making art , i think EVERY age has it`s joys and harder
parts,,, enjoy who and what you are, and stop judging people by age,
Remember we have been at in your age and know something about it, you
still have to try out our`s !!! the more positive and less classifying
you wil be about age , the more chance you have to enjoy every stage
of your life , as much as possible!!!
wishing you well ,
mirjam

Animaux , come on ,,,,,, you must be jokking or very cynical , this is
an interesting group ,,, but caring nurturing ?????don`t make me laugh

And how do you know if Sarah doesn`t tell the truth ?? why say she has
the wrong values , she has different values. and she is entitled to
them, i assure you that life will teach her which of her values are
valueable and which she better change , and it is not for us to judge
her , just answer and tell her we feel different. and why we feel
different might be enough.
mirjam

You aren't LOL. You are in a state of mania. Probably having major panic or
anxiety at the least. Probably last night you were laying there wondering what
you did to make such an entire newsgroup, which is one of the most caring,
nurturing places on Usenet to dislike you, your values, your lies, your words,
your attitude about older people, and you incredible egomania, narcissistic way
you think of yourself.

I hate to tell you this, but honey bunch, you are nothing unique. Because you
are a nervous wreck and have to operate at double time because your parents
"work 24 hours a day..." (cough---bull****---cough).

Do some soul searching...if you have time after you read your romance novels,
change the diaper once a day, work, go to school full time, and post here like a
woman on a mission to prove how wonderful you are.

I guess she felt comfortable saying the word "****" but not "bitch."

Go
figure.

so bitch - which is the proper term for a female canine - is a swear word?

By the way, I'm proud to be called a bitch -

Yo mean yo neva heard her sing, "I'll rise away in my beautiful (hot air)
balloon or noises to that effect? "Away up there where the air is "fresh"?
LOL I used to think cabbage rolls made with "real" sour cabbage leaves
smelled like a baby's dirty diaper - after cabbage passes through a dog the
odor is much worst.

Ah, and here I am sitting waiting for the thermometer to hit 30C again
today--and Fred has made me ravenous for cabbage rolls. Maybe on the
weekend I can make a batch in the slow cooker though.
My late dog Suzan always used to hang around when I was cooking them, and
always got a couple to scorf down, with the predictable results--but who
could deny that expectant face. If only she could have sung like Fred!!
