If you were closer, Sharon, I'd charge your batteries for you. :-/

I hear ya, Sarajane! My computer is about seven years old. When we
first turn it on, it makes grinding noises...could be the hard drive.
Ouch! Can't afford a new computer right now...I need a job first!

My scanner *and* my printer are behaving badly, but it might be because
wires inside the computer are coming loose.

My son said that there are so many wires inside the tower, and he's
afraid to go inside for fear that he'll screw up something else. (He's
done it before, but he's reluctant to do it now.)

Oh! My digital camera batteries (both sets) are getting flaky. Either
that, or it's the charger. I don't know anyone with a digital camera
who I can ask to charge the batteries for me (as a test), so....I'm
bummed out right now.

Think I'll have a (white chocolate) Kit Kat; that should make me feel
better (temporarily)!

Cheers,
Turtlelover

I know. I nearly didn't post it for that very reason.

My friends and I used to play a game where they would give me a phrase, and
I would have to give it back to them in a verbally sexual manner. I never
let them down

Uh.....what? You're talking to the tool-impaired here

Hi Carla!
I'm technophobic myself, power tools scare me----but this ones pretty user
friendly and takes up little space. You line things up, turn it on, pull the
handle down then up----and there's a neat hole al the way through! Also, its
variable speed, and I can set it slow---like at "2" so as to not go too fast
and overheat the clay or stick. When there's a coupon at places like Michaels
or Hobby Lobby you can get one very reasonably. The hand drill ones are good
too, but as you say---its hard to line things up.

And thanks--I'm glad you like my website. I'll have new things up soon----gotta
get my scanner reinstalled and working.

I knew it had to be a
fairly simple reason the darn things were going unround on me.

Judith Skinner and recently I spent several hours doing these and noting just
what did what....we started out so wrong it was easy to catalog the
consequences once you really pick it apart. And clear tiles are way more fun
than the ceramic ones face down that I was using!

I don't sand and buff much either, Diana--I'm way too lazy. Making these with
the tiles tho, you start out with a pretty smooth surface.

Haven't done any lampwork yet, but have cast my PC faces into molds for
slumping glass and done my first set....now to grind and work on those a bit.
Mostly I just wanted to try the molds before I made more...which I'll be doing
soon. The first batch shows where improvements have to happen!

Omg that sounds delish, Sarjane! I wanna see!

I have over 100 of the baked swirl beads just waiting for the appliqued
parts...which I'll be doing in the next week. I've been making new hands
too....plus dealing with a computer, scanner, and camera that won't work like
they oughta.....but when they do, I'll have new things to show.

I have been waiting ever since you first posted about ventures into glass to
see what might come of it... and of course the first steps are as exciting
to hear about as the next thousand will be. Thanks so much for the update.
Im looking forward to the updates on your site.
