Default Pattern Request

Does anyone know where I can find a pattern called Wandering Jew? It
was in Quilt magazine around Spring 86. Your help will be greatly
appreciated.
TIA

In Barbara Brackman's Encylopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns, the pattern
Wandering Jew is listed as number 3786 and is pictured on page 459.

Sandy:
I do not have that book. What is this design? Is it applique of
the plant Zebrina Pendula, which some call WJ? That always sounds
tacky to me, if not downright offensive to me, depending on the
sun, the moon, and my chocolate deprivation status! So I wonder
how the heck this block looks!

Butterfly:
Yes, the plant is the Zebrina Pendula I mentioned. (Need some
coffee Miss Butterfly? LOL) Tiny flowers. Striped leaves. Very
pretty. The 'common name' is what I consider tacky to offensive.
I am not calling anyone here offensive. I just think it is time
to stop using that name. (see my first note.)

Pat,
The pattern is a pieced pattern in the Brackman category "Stars Made Up of Many
Diamonds." An alternate name for the block is The Winding Blades. It looks like
a square with an X made with 2 rows of diamonds forming the lines from the
center to the corners. Hard to describe! There are also other blocks called
"Winding Blades." I looked for the pattern names on www.quilterscache.com, but
didn't find either of them.

Pat-
I did not name the pattern, I am merely trying to locate a source
for the pattern.
