I don't find this to be true at all, but maybe the Mexican people
living in CA are different about their ideas. Mexico is entirely in
N. America, as is Canada.

Yes, but Russians are European, not Asian. Russia is in Asia due to
conquest and the Russian Federation includes over 150 different ethnic
groups, some of whom are Asian, but Russians are not.
