looking to make amber beads
Hello,
I use to do a lot of polymer clay projects and swaps about 4 -5 years ago but haven't done anything recently. It's a long story that involves most of my swaps being destroyed or badly damaged. I just lost heart after that. I now have need to make an amber necklace with big chucky amber beads to dress as a Viking Lady in 2 weeks. I can't just afford a real amber bead necklace. So I thought I would at least try my hand at making some beads this week. I was hoping some kind soul might have instructions and hopefully photos of some amber beads they have made already online and they wouldn't mind me copying. I need a large center bead with increasingly smaller beads going up and around the back, I'll settle for 5-7 fair size beads to add to some amber chips I have already. In the swaps I did, I certainly was not the best talent in the group; I think I fell in the middle to mid-end of the talent range. I've pretty rusty on my skills right now, so don't make it too hard for me to follow. I also seem to remember that you could use something else in the middle of the bead instead of clay to make it lighter so your neck doesn't drag on the ground. Thanks for being here, Dianne Russell Jacksonville, Florida |

I hope you'll post your finished beads for all to see. Here are a ton of
how-to's: http://snipurl.com/ey8b Barbara www.penguintrax.com eBay & Justbeadsenguintrax 0 /O\ Nurturing doesn't end at birth: breastfeed, co-sleep, babywear. There is a very fine line between a hobby and mental illness. (Dave Barry) Need quality, inexpensive web hosting? Check out http://www.lyonshost.com.
