Default Free fabric - please take it

I have 2 pieces of black fabric that a friend gave me because I sew. LOL
Anyway, it is not cotton so I can't use it. I believe it is some kind of
slippery poly or organza. I washed it and the edges did fray. The pieces are
almost 2 yards each and 45" wide.

If you sew stuff other then quilts then this is for you. I think you could
use it for purse linings or maybe a jacket lining. Polly thought it would
make excellent capes for Halloween. I will toss this if nobody wants it.

Email me at the addy below (snipsnstitches).

If you don't get any takers, you might drop it off at a senior
citizens center where the people do crafts. I always seem to have
lots of orphaned yarn that people give me, and the seniors really
enjoy getting it. They make all sorts of crafty things, a few to use,
some to sell, and most to give away. Here in Central Illinois they
make lots and lots of hats, scarves, and mittens that are given to the
local schools to pass along to children who need them. And they make
chemo caps and newborn caps for the hospitals. Other things are sold
at the annual craft fair and the money used for their various other
projects. The former staff manager told me that their clients are
always pleased to get crafts materials and fabrics and yarns, since
the clients really enjoy making things but often cannot afford the
materials. The fabric you have might be very welcomed for linings and
for halloween costumes!

Is it similar to the fabric for garden flags? A local group has used that
type fabric to make grocery bags that squish up real small to store in a
purse. HTH.
