Default Operation Homefront Quilts - Quilts Needed

Hello fellow RCTQ's

It has been a long time since I have posted but I have been reading the
posts and sharing in your sorrows, joys, etc.

I am posting this here because we have many wonderful, talented people in
this group and I am sure that many of you would be willing to help a fellow
quilt sister out with her project.

My twin sister in Maine called me tonight about an article she read in
Reader's Digest about a 19 year old girl from Hudson, Fl who intends to make
a quilt for each soldier killed in Iraq. Her name is Jessica Porter and she
belongs to a guild.

I was so moved by the article and did a search on Google and there are many
articles about her. Go to "Operation Homeland Quilts" and read about it.

Thanks,
--

Amazingly, for the UK, there was a spot on the news about her. t is really
rare to have anything at all about quilting on TV, here.

I think most people here would find it really odd to make quilts for the
bereaved.

She has many, many people helping her.
