Things here in "troll land" are going slow . I have finally gotten all
the projects completed , washed and boxed , I have lost the address
for our helping hands person , so if you have it could you send it to
me .
Msn is playing up again on my messages , so I am not getting them when
sent . Received one today that was emailed 2 weeks ago , I guess they
thought I didn't need to read it back then.
Daughter is down with the flu today , I hope I don't catch it . The
doctor would not give me a flu shot because my immune system is too
low due to having three major surgeries this year and I really don't
need to be sick again .
The knee surgery is not coming out as the doctor had hopes , my muscle
will not take to where it is placed now . I am looking at another two
months of physical therapy to build it up and then having to have it
cut open again. This time they will break my lower bone insert the
muscle so it has a place to grab to and then pin the leg back together
again . At this time I only have 100 degrees of mobility , can be
pushed to 105 with lots of pain , they hope to get me to 140 before
they redo the surgery , but basiclly I am still off my feet . I can
drive some , had to get a handicapp sticker for the car . I am walking
with the aid of a cane and progressing very slowly.
Dear husband is being wonderful about everything except cooking , he
still refuses to learn how . My 11 yr old daughter has taken over most
of the kitchen duties with me being coach. She is doing wonderful .
She has discovered bisquick and the impossible pies and how easy they
are to make for dinner , so we have a few each week . I have also
taught her to make chicken and meatloaf . She loves using the george
foreman machine for making hamburgers and grilled chicken too .
My son has taken over clean the rest of the house and he does it
pretty well. Thou he seems to think that every job he needs to get
paid for ( 14 yrs old ) . I try to explain that chores are part of
allowance and extras are what you get paid for .
On crafting news I just got the new book sensational afghans from
annies attic , I have found about 7 afghans I hope to do in in this
year for Christmas . I sent hubby to the store for yarn yesterday and
he picked up enough to do up two of them . My sister in law up in New
York found wool ease on clearence at a store there for 1.50 a skein
and bought me 50 skeins . She says she bought the lot . She is to mail
them to me this week with the knowledge that I am to make a cardigan
for my brother out of some of the skeins . He is a large man , chest
of 56 , so I am thinking about 1/2 of the lot will go to that . I hope
to make mittens and scarves for my nephews out of some of the rest.
Sorry I have not been in touch much .
God bless ,
Coggie

Coggie,
Please know that you are thought of often, and that prayers still
go out for you AND your family.
I have the addresses for 2 of the 3 in question, and I 'think'
the one I don't have is the one you need.....

Do take care, and visit us when you can!

Coggie,
It is good to hear from you. I am sorry that you will need to have
further surgery. You have been through enough already!

Also sorry that your daughter has the flu today. Hope your DH can help with
some cooking today. Pasta is my husband's specialty. ;-)

And where in NY is your SIL? $1.50 for WoolEase is great!

Hope to see you around more frequently.

Els said it all, Coggie. One day at a time. I must do that
way too. Otherwise I would be in trouble.

never that low.

Coggie,

Seneca Falls is very close to where I live. In fact, it was closer,
before I moved. ;-) Have you ever been to upstate NY? I used to live in
Geneva, which is 2 towns further west from Seneca Falls. Now, I live in
Pittsford, which is a suburb of Rochester. (And on the NYS Thruway, Seneca
Falls is exit 40; Geneva, 42; and Pittsford is accessible from exit 45.) My
husband still works in Geneva and has many patients from Seneca Falls. (He
also goes to the barber in Seneca Falls...that is, when there is enough hair
to cut.) If you want to contact me off-list, we can play the "do you know"
game. ;-) Maybe your SIL and family know my husband, or vice versa.

And, on another topic, how is you daughter today? Hopefully, she is
recovering from the flu. I read the other day that there is at least
1strain of the flu that is not in this year's flu serum. I still haven't
gotten my flu shot.

Coggie,

My thoughts and prayers are still going out to you. I hope the next surgery
goes much better. My DH has to use a cane all the time, and even a walker here
in the house so I know what you have to indure.
Wow, what a bargain on that yarn, just like when I got the last of the Red
Heart Jewel tone colors. I know you will put it all to good use.

Hugs,

Nora
